Blackstone's Holiday Season Runs Through The Club, and Carson Creek Is Now the Stop on the Way Home

  • October 29, 2026

"Come sell, shop and have a good time." That's the whole description the Blackstone Master Association gives its Annual Holiday Boutique on Sunday, Nov. 22. It fits most of what comes after it, too.

From Halloween weekend through the first Saturday in December, nearly every Blackstone community event on the HOA calendar happens at one address, the clubhouse at 1461 Blackstone Parkway, and most of them start after dark. This year, the Carson Creek Retail Center at Latrobe Road and Golden Foothill Parkway added restaurants. Mountain Mike's Pizza opened in July, and Jersey Mike's Subs was scheduled to open in September. That gives a clubhouse evening a dinner stop between the gate and home without the drive up to Town Center Boulevard.

Halloween weekend puts two calendars on top of each other

The Halloween Extravaganza runs four nights at the clubhouse, all 5 to 9 p.m. Nights 1 and 2 were Oct. 23 and 24. Nights 3 and 4 are this Friday and Saturday, Oct. 30 and 31. The HOA lists them as open to residents and invited guests.

Two of the bigger public Halloween events in El Dorado Hills fall on those same two days, and their start times overlap with the clubhouse doors opening.

Date Event Time Location
Fri., Oct. 30 El Dorado Hills CSD Trunk-or-Treat & Scarecrow Contest 4:30 to 7 p.m. EDHCSD Pavilion parking lot
Fri., Oct. 30 Halloween Extravaganza, Night 3 5 to 9 p.m. Blackstone Clubhouse
Sat., Oct. 31 Halloween Spooktacular 3 to 6 p.m. El Dorado Hills Town Center
Sat., Oct. 31 Halloween Extravaganza, Night 4 5 to 9 p.m. Blackstone Clubhouse
Sun., Nov. 1 Pumpkin Destruction 2 to 4 p.m. Old Executive Golf Course lot, 3775 Serrano Pkwy.

The CSD's Trunk-or-Treat is free and open to the public. It runs until 7, so it overlaps the first two hours of Night 3. The clubhouse stays open until 9, which means a family can start at the Pavilion and still get two hours at the Extravaganza afterward.

Saturday works the same way. Town Center's Halloween Spooktacular has trick-or-treating at participating businesses, DJ music, and a costume contest and pet parade at 5 p.m. That parade starts at the same time Night 4 opens. Because the Spooktacular wraps at 6, there's still most of the Extravaganza left after the last ribbon is handed out.

Then Sunday gives the jack-o'-lanterns a send-off. The CSD's free Pumpkin Destruction runs 2 to 4 p.m. on Nov. 1 in the Old Executive Golf Course parking lot on Serrano Parkway.

November moves indoors and stays in the evening

Once Halloween is over, the outside events drop away and the clubhouse calendar carries the month. Most of what's on it starts around dinnertime.

  1. Thursday, Nov. 12, 6 to 8 p.m. The Annual Meeting, which the HOA describes as an open session board meeting to stay up to date on community business.
  2. Friday and Saturday, Nov. 13 and 14, 6 to 8 p.m. Comedy & Magic Night, two nights at the clubhouse.
  3. Sunday, Nov. 15, 4 to 7 p.m. The Taste of Blackstone Club, which meets on the third Sunday of each month.
  4. Monday, Nov. 16, 5 to 7 p.m. Blackstone Gals Night Out.
  5. Tuesday, Nov. 17, 6 to 9 p.m. Table Top Game Night in the Gathering Room.
  6. Sunday, Nov. 22, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The Annual Holiday Boutique, the one big daytime event of the month.

The weekly clubs keep going underneath all of that. Knitting Club meets Mondays at 2:30, and the American Mahjong Club meets Wednesdays at 2.

The clubhouse closes for Thanksgiving, which is the first gap in a calendar that otherwise runs almost every week.

The boutique says the most about how this season is organized. The HOA bills it as a place to sell as well as shop, so the vendors can be your neighbors. It's also the only big community event between Halloween and Santa that happens in daylight.

December is one Saturday, then the doors close twice

Santa comes to the Blackstone Clubhouse on Saturday, Dec. 5, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Photos with Santa.

After that, the clubhouse closes on Christmas Day and again for New Year's. Registration for the CSD's Cookies with Santa and its 18th Annual Breakfast with Santa opens Nov. 2. Check the CSD special events page for the dates of those two.

So the clubhouse is where Blackstone gets together this season, mostly in the evenings, and dinner happens somewhere else. Since July, that somewhere can be at the south end of Latrobe.

What's open at the bottom of Latrobe Road

The Carson Creek Retail Center sits at the northwest corner of Latrobe Road and Golden Foothill Parkway, south of White Rock Road, next to the El Dorado Hills Business Park. An open and operating Tractor Supply Co. store anchors it. Here's the center as of this fall.

  • Mountain Mike's Pizza, 4456 Golden Foothill Parkway. Folsom Times reported it open on July 7, 2026. It's open daily from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m., according to The Sacramento Bee, which lists dine-in, carryout and delivery.
  • Jersey Mike's Subs, 4456 Golden Foothill Parkway, Suite 120. The Sacramento Business Journal reported it was scheduled to open its first El Dorado Hills location at 10 a.m. on Sept. 16, 2026.
  • Starbucks. Folsom Times listed it in February as an expected tenant. No opening date has been announced.
  • The remaining spaces. In February the leasing picture included a 2,459-square-foot pad with a drive-thru and a pending letter of intent, plus three shop spaces, two of them with patio seating. In September, the Business Journal reported that no other tenants had been announced.

The Mountain Mike's opening is actually a return, which longtime El Dorado Hills residents may remember. The Bee called it the first location in El Dorado Hills, based on the franchise's website. But an earlier Mountain Mike's operated at 2222 Francisco Drive. After 15 years, the owners didn't renew the franchise and turned the restaurant into Viscuso's Pizza & Draft House, as Village Life reported. Viscuso's is still a separate local option. The Carson Creek store brings the brand back to El Dorado Hills at the opposite end of town.

Putting the clubhouse and Carson Creek on the same night

The clubhouse calendar and the Carson Creek hours line up well. Mountain Mike's, open since July, stays open until 10 p.m. every day. That covers dinner after the latest clubhouse nights on the calendar, including the 9 p.m. finishes on Halloween weekend and after Table Top Game Night on Nov. 17. Some ways that works out:

  • Friday, Oct. 30. Trunk-or-Treat at the Pavilion until 7, Night 3 of the Extravaganza until 9, and pizza at Golden Foothill Parkway before the 10 p.m. close.
  • Friday or Saturday, Nov. 13 or 14. Comedy & Magic Night lets out at 8, which leaves time for a sit-down dinner at Carson Creek.
  • Sunday, Nov. 22. The Holiday Boutique runs until 3, and Carson Creek is a short drive away for a late lunch on the way home.
  • Saturday, Dec. 5. Photos with Santa wraps at 2, which works for a midday stop afterward.

For a walk before any of these, Blackstone Village Park at 1881 Blackstone Parkway has a half-mile paved path. The El Dorado Hills CSD describes it as connecting to the HOA trail system and to the sidewalks leading toward Valley View Sports Park.

Keep an eye on Carson Creek as the season goes on. The drive-thru pad, the patio-seat shop spaces and the expected Starbucks are all still unannounced or undated, so the center could look different by the time Santa comes to the clubhouse on Dec. 5.
