The fireworks are done. The Summer Spectacular wrapped on June 27, the food trucks have rolled out, and Cameron Park Lake has reopened to its usual rhythm. For a lot of neighbors that reads as the end of the summer calendar. It isn't. July is actually when the park runs at its most useful for people who live here, because the crowd thins out and the programming shifts from one big night to a rotating stack of smaller ones. If you know what's on the schedule, a $5.50 entry fee turns into most of a weekend.
Here's the version of Cameron Park's July that assumes you already know where Cambridge Road meets Highway 50.
